Need the groups help once again as this boat is new to me.

1. Don't seem to have power to the windlass. I noticed a very recent thread which indicated there was a breaker near the battery switches. Checked this out in my boat but no breaker there. Any idea where I should look for a breaker?

2. I have a switch on the dash panel labeled "ELEC". Can someone tell me what its function is as it doesn't appear to do anything when switched on.

3. I have a carbon monoxide detect or mounted on the wall in the cabinet. When powered on, it goes off even when the generator and engines have not been used for days. Assume that it is defective and requires replacement. Is there any reason that I need to replace it with a similar unit and not a residential type unit from Lowes or Home Depot?

Thanks.

1. There should be a breaker somewhere... I'm not familiar with your boat so I can't tell you where. Have you checked your manual? If you don't have one, you can download one from SeaRay.com

2. No idea there... again, check the manual.

3. CO sensors have a life span of about 5 years... so if it's original equipment, it's probably gone. You can use any CO detector. The nice thing about the original one is that it's tied into the 12V system and sometimes tied into the generator to shut it down automatically in the event of an alarm condition.

I believe my windlass breaker was on the forward bulkhead of the engine compartment on my 340. May want to look there as mine was pretty tight.
I bow out of the rest of the questions as I don't even have a guess.

My "ELEC" switch is tied to my electronics on the dash, if it's not on my GPS and Radar won't power up. Even with it on, each device has its' own power switch, so just flipping the ELEC switch won't look like it does anything.

Not sure on the other 2 items, I probably should know where the breaker for the windlass is but haven't needed to find it as of yet.

Windless breaker looks something like this and mine is the engine room forward bulkhead wall.... Left of the battery charger & next to blue rectangle 2011-06-18_14-21-24_515.jpg

That's a solenoid (for your emergency start) and the "blue rectangle" is a battery isolator.

Sorry, you are absolutely correct. I just remember the blade fuses in it and when I blew one it didn't work right....

That's what I get for thinking I remembered something.... close but no cigars. That's it to the right of the battery charger with red knobby caps and in the bottom picture you can see a blade fuse I think there are two. solenoid for the windless.
