3.0 manifold leak

At this point its almost comical. So decided to take the boat out today after a fresh valve adjustment. Ran great. No valve noise Pressure and temps looked good. Ok cool Did a few laps around the bay. Then while cruising at about 3500rpm. I heard ticking, And it got louder And louder. So i came down and it kept getting louder Then POP And my boat now sounds like a freakn tractor. I can put my hand under the manifold And feel the leak. But there is no water Just an exhaust leak.
So I did some searching And it doesnt seem like a common problem Most people have a water leak. Aside from sounding like a tractor Boat runs great. So I wonder what happened. I hope nothing is cracked Boat never over heated

Sounds to me like the gasket from the manifold to the head is gone. Easy enough to do.

you tightened it wrong or the gasket failed. there is no water connections between heads and manifolds.

Been there, done that. Replaced both on my 5.0 easy job.
