I haven't done anything except replace the vinyl to add some color and get rid of the awful teal piping & fake pleats...which is actually being finished as we speak. Helm seating too.

A lot of people seem to speak ill of the aft seating configuration but I really have no complaints. Of course, that could have something to do with the fact that I never sit back there.

On my boat, probably like yours, the aft seat slopes a little down, is pretty narrow, and can tend to dump you off. And if you have the table set up, the space left is almost too tight unless you're pretty thin. It works for me for a dinner or lunch, but not for extended cruising or hours of sitting. So, what we do is leave the sunpad up most of the time. I've found that friends and family much prefer that. You can still sit up, but it gives more room for your legs and doesn't dump you off. You can see the sunpad set up on the boat here. View attachment 28666

I agree...the ladies generally prefer to have the sunpad in over the table anyways.

I was thinking of cutting the lower part of the seat off and making it like the 30 sd of the same year kind of wider and removable

Took advantage of the warm weather and replace shift and throttle cables from the helm to engines.

Good job. I changed the steering cable when I installed the autopilot and that was one of the hardest if not the hardest job I've done on my boat. Almost gave up.

I left plenty of skin and a few bad words but after 4 hours I got it done

Well, I just secured my dream boat well at my marina. I feel like i've won the lottery on this spot. Only 4 of these "straight in docking" slips out of 800 wells. The benefits of this slip over my old one are:
1. Lower dock height which makes it easy to board, especially for the kids and Grandparents.
2. Extra parking spots for visitors to my slip.
3. Pool and Bath House are close...not have to drive the kids back and forth all day.
4. Great view of Lake St. Clair
5. Extra wide canal...
6.The best of all...straight in docking! This will make a day of boating even more enjoyable, not having to stress out thinking if my docking will go smooth or become a stress filled adventure.
As a new boater with only 1 full year under my belt, I had many smooth docking days with everyone watching, but also had a few near disasters in a tight canal with very big, expensive boats. Those days were the most stressful in my life. Made me almost afraid of leaving the slip. I got better and more confident with practice but still it was different every time I came in.
So I'm super excited on getting this well. And looking forward to a less stressful boating season. 20121120_170737.jpg

Does anyone know if there is foam in the compartment under the port and starboard outer stringer kinda like were the battery's and water heater sit my boat has a slight list to the port side. I am wondering if it could have wet foam. Any thoughts ??

I don't know if there is foam under that area, but I have the same list, but not all the time. seems to be related to the amount of fuel in the tank and the level of the holding tank. low fuel and full holding tank results in a list to port

I have the same list & agree its the worst with low fuel even with an empty holding tank. Since my generator is on the starboard side I wonder how bad the list would be without the generator.

I guess the galley & head are REALLY heavy.

Maybe since the helm & cockpit seating are generally to starboard, the boat is designed to level out with people in the seats???
