One of the recommendations my surveyor made when we purchased the boat was to rebed the windshield. So, I'm looking for guidance. Can this be done in the water? Can it be removed in pieces? I'd prefer do it in in the water as we keep it in a covered shed.

If my memory serves me good - you will need to remove arch and when you doing this kind of work when boat is in water you need to expect that some screws or tools will end-up in water too.

Funny, my surveyor said the same thing! Actually he said you should rebed all deck hardware every 10 years. Yea, right! I've never seen anyone do, or have it done, at my marina. If it wasn't so hard to get to the underside, I would like to do my railing. One of those "if I have nothing better to do" projects. I look forward to reading the responses on this thread, and please let me know what you find out.

No real info yet. I did rebed the forward hatch and am in the process of re-bedding the portholes (windows/hatches-whatever they're called). The first one took about 2 hours, mostly figuring out how to take it apart. As it turns out the 4 screws on the outside are all that need to be removed to remove the exterior trim ring. All of the interior screws have nuts on them that are accessed after the exterior trim ring is removed. Did I see your boat for sale?

No, not for sale. I was going to do the ports this spring before she went in the water but never got around to it. Perhaps in the fall.
