Results of a project some of you may be interested in. Wanted better access to back side of the 454's, so.......frame welded of 1X1X1/8 angle (316 SST), welded in a 3/4X3/16 lip, glued in 1/4 black rubber gasket, 1/2" starboard hatch screwed in place. Now I can get to all the goodies behind those engines !!

Excellent project. What power tool did you use to cut floor, How thick is the floor ?

Used a milwaukee right angle grinder with a 4" cut-off blade, finished with a jigsaw at the corners. The floor is like maybe 1/2 balsa with about 1/8 of glass on either side, so close to 3/4 thick. Cut real easy with the cut-off blade.

Nice project!! Does that affect the integrity of the floor? I would recommend sealing the exposed wood after cutting too.

How about a 6 month update? Thanks

Very nice. My aft storage looks much smaller than yours, don't think its an option for an 09.
