280DA Dinghy Davits on Swim Platform Pic's

hi-

I'm in the process of building some dinghy davits for my 280DA. My boat came with St. Croix shoes bolted to the swim platform but they didn't come with the davits themselves. Someone gave me a set but they don't appear to lift the dinghy out of the water high enough. I decided to start to make a set.

Wondering what others are doing on their 280DA's. Please post pic's of how your transporting your dinghy's on your 280's.

I had a buddy weld me up a few pieces of 316 stainless. I'm waiting for the KingBoard to arrive to finish up.

Post pics when you get it finished. I thought about adding davits to my 280 but never got around to it. I'm probably go with the Hurley h30 or similar on the new boat.

I'll post an update once I get it finished. I need access to the swim platform to measure the kingboard and see how much I need to overhang with my dinghy. The 280 swim platform isn't really large and I need to leave a little room for access to tie down the dinghy. I'll also need some access for when getting on and off the boat at the dock.
