280DA Cockpit Sink

Needed: 280DA Cockpit Sink

Hey everyone,
I am looking for a cockpit sink for a 2004 280 Sundancer. I
would think it is the same sink from 2002 to 2009. I ordered one from a dealer, and they were informed Sea Ray has just stopped making them. This is a major pain.

Any ideas where to get one? Alternatively, can the existing sink be repaired/refinished. The previous boat owner put something in the sink than stained and damaged it, although it is still functional.

In case this thread was of any interest to anyone, Sea Ray (or their supplier) agreed to make one more batch of sinks, which surprized the crap out of me. Apparently they need to make a minimum of 5 so they are charging more ($175 instead of $65, but the dealer is discounting to $130 because of the mix-up).

Glad you got it worked out. I agree it is shocking they were willing to do another run at a reasonable price. Did they tell you who the supplier was? I know Teak Isle Manufacturing made alot of the componets used in the cockpit.

Hopefully they are now making them out of something that does not stain as easily.
