Are 2007 and 2006 280 Sundancer camper covers interchangeable?

I don't know the answer to your specific question. But as a former 280 owner who replaced a full set of canvas including a camper back, I'd recommend caution before buying anything that was not matched to your boat's HIN. The 280 was built in a number of different Sea Ray factories and each factory had its own local supplier for canvas, and as a result there can be many small changes between canvas sets for boats with the same year of manufacture, but different origin plants.

Our boat had been built in the Phoenix plant that was closed. Unfortunately none of the canvas templates from the Phoenix plant were transferred to aftermarket suppliers, and the original supplier to the plant also went out of business. For years Great Lakes refused to sell 280 canvas to owners of Phoenix boats. I eventually was able to get 280 canvas from a Great Lakes reseller, and spent a fair amount of money having it modified before it would fit.

To add to what Henry says above, if you buy an "already made" camper top, the snaps will not line up with the ones on the boat.

To follow up on what Henry said above... If your boat HIN starts with SERA... Then the boat was manufactured in the Arizona plant and Great Lakes does not have the patterns or records to match canvas to a model.

There were also production changes between and within years so matching parts gets very particular.

If you are interested in more info on a new camper PM me and I will help you out. We are distributors for Great Lakes.
