280 engine questions

I have taken many friends out on the boat but one likes it so much he wants one just like it. As luck would have it the dealer i bought mine from has one. This one is a 2003 280 the only difference is that it has a 496 B3 for power. Opinions?

What do you see for fuel burn? What is the sweet spot speed for cruising?

Starting third season with my 2007 and love it. I believe the pros/cons were covered thoroughly in another thread. I cruise at 28 mph at around 15GPH if I remember correctly.

Sorry for not getting back sooner, work has been interfering with play time. LC's numbers match mine. At 1500 - 1600 rpm we average 23-24 knots which is about to about the same mph.

I have a twin engine model, 2005, I am considering putting on the market to go up a few sizes. PM me if your friend would like some details.
