Hello all! I thought it would be fun to share your WOT performance numbers for your 270 Sundancer. Mine is a 1999 with the 7.4mpi. She runs at 4600rmp WOT at 38mph, 6200 feet elevation, 21 pitch bravo 3 :) all other boats welcome as well!

My 2011 280 with the single 8.2 will do 45gps when it's clean.

We clocked 43.1 (GPS) MPH in our '05 280 DA w/twin 5.0's & BIII's with 3 blade 24P props @ 4600 RPM. I suspect it might do a little more under the right conditions.

2019 Back Cove. Single Cummins QSC 8.3 600. 28x34 4 blade prop. 33 mph @ 3070 rpm.

2005 270 AJ 350 MPI Bravo 3. 4400rpm 20" props. 32-34 MPH depending on conditions.

2010 310 Sundancer with twin 5.0 Bravo III turning 22" pitch 4800 rpm's and 40.8 mph.

Ya none of mine break 40 except empty and alone. Not that I want to.
I am fine with pop on plane at 3400 / 28 then throttle back to 3050/ 25.
If conditions right I may be able to hold on plane (ideal) at 2800 / 22.
My 7.4 can suck liquid like a street walker in West Hollywood (so I have been told).

I'm pretty happy with my fuel burn so far but I'll be swapping my props out for 20" 4x4's as I'm told performance will be better. Currently my boat is slow to get on plane and won't stay on plane below 3000.

Can I ask what water you on?
I’m on Chesapeake which always has a chop and my 250 7.4 Bravo 1 can barely barely break 40mph on a good day. Usually upper 30s.
I'm in middle Tennessee and would only be on lakes and rivers. No waves due to weather or wind as a rule to speak of here.

On my previous 06 240da the most i ever saw was 40 mph ( gps ) at 4700 with a 5.0 mpi /b3 20p .

clean hull at begin of the season and little fuel , no water or gear and just me .

Our heavy old 245 tickles 40 mph at 4450 with a 5.7(260) and B2. Going to be upgrading the top with Vortec heads on a fresh bottom over the winter. Will be interesting to see what if any gain it will give. From what I gather, it should be 40+hp with the addition of knock control?
