Shopping for a sea ray

Unsure
I went and looked at a 1984 270 sea ray. It has twin v8 had a few things I wasnt sure about.

There was no hour meter that seemed odd...

There was a hatch in the floor in front of the bathroom door. There was a ball valve with a flexible pipe on it and may a through hull fitting? Looked to be a bilge pump maybe...current owner didnt know what it was?

Very interesting. Was that ball valve below the water line? I wonder if that could be a raw water pickup for raw water toilets?

Thank tank, those fittings and hoses do not look 1984 vintage. Follow the red hose! Very interesting...

Yes I worry about that leaking and not knowing where it goes or what it's for worries me

Also no hour meter? Seems weird

I wouldn't worry as much about the hour meter myself. It's a good idea to have the motors checked for compression, maybe even oil samples. That will tell you worlds more than an hour meter. Any decent marina should be able to look the engine over, including a compression check, for a few hundred cheddar burgers?

I asked about getting a compression test already too.

It's a 1984 and just worry n
