27 Hours---Pull Drive?

I purchased my Sundeck with 27 hours on it and I cannot verify whether or not the drive was pulled. I was thinking that I will have the drive pulled and alignmnet checked this spring.
The lube and oil has already been done.
I am ok with pulling the drive myself but I just dont feel confortable checking alignment myself.
Thoughts? Anything else I should be checking? From the manual it doesn't appear that therre should be.

From someone who had to replace a coupler - I would have the drive pulled and the coupler greased.

There is a zerk on the coupler right????
The only way to access the coupler for greasing is to pull the drive???
I periodically pull the drive to inspect, etc. and have the Merc spline grease....would this be ok for the coupler?

Not sure if you are aware but there is a special tool for doing the alignment.

On my 260 - I couldn't get to the zerk very easily. It's just easier - to do it when the drive is pulled. But also I would want to insure the alignment was correct.

In this case the issue is time not hours. Its a 2005 boat. I would pull, grease and check alignment.

Morph....it is recommended as as break in procedure. Then in MUCH larger intervals thereafter.

Yeah I was Norcal...That actually is the part I am not confortable with. I probably wouldnt know how to align it and furthermore, be able to tell if if was or awsnt out of alignment..

Duh.. now I see. I didn't realize it was an 05 boat with 27 hours, guess I couldn't believe an 05 sundeck would only have 27 hours.

And also I didn't know at the 20hr break in they pulled the drive sounds like another thing MM didn't do for me at 20hr but they did at 1yr so I'm good for now.

Morph....we couldnt believe it either.....After one look at it considering the woman's situation of her husband getting ill and passing I knew that it was the perfect situation for us to take it off her hands.....
