Looking at buying a 28ft. boat. Looking at the Sea Ray 260DA and the Crownline 270CR Any input would be great. I know maybe a little biased here, but looking for information.

When I was in the market last year i considered the CR 270, my two previous boats were Crownlines. I was impressed with the lines of the 270 but then I discovered the 280DA. No comparison, the 280 was much bigger and had more options for the same price. I understand that you are comparing it to the 260DA but you can find a used trailerable 280DA for the same price as a newer 260DA or CR 270.

I have a few friends with Crownlines and have been on both the 270 and the 260. In my opinion the Crownline is more of a "sport cruiser" while the Sea Ray is less of a sport boat and more "cruiser". If you are looking for a boat to do some watersports on and maybe spend a night or two on the hook, lean toward the Crownline- if you are just looking to spend weekends on the water with family and friends go with the Sea Ray. The Crownline is a nice looking boat and they run pretty good- opt for the 496. I owned a Crownline before we bought the 320 and I can say they are a well built boat.

If you need any questions answered about the 270 you can find a wealth of information at www.teamcrownline.com
