Finally spent some time on the "new" boat  . Thanks to those that explained the factory shore power system to me! Woked fine.

There's a few questions I have that are new to me but may be obvious to others:

The "Panel Light" switch on the dash lights up when flipped on but nothing happens. The guage lights come on with the key regardless. What are these "Panel Lights"? Its OEM.

Is there a diagram or instructions for plumbing in a heat exchanger to the hot water heater from the motor?

Any conversion kits for retrofitting the pressurized alcohol stove with a safer version?

It has a remote spotlight on the pulpit. The control has a "spot -off-flood" switch, the control toggle, but also has a black dial that I can't figure out what it does??? It doesn't seem to dim or vary the toggle speed...

Sorry, but we forgot the camera this time. :smt101

The panel lights switch turns the lights on to the switches at the helm. You generally can only see them when it is dark. Behind that panel are several small bulbs with little red rubber boots on them. It is possible that all the bulbs are burned out. But also check the fuse in the fuse holder right above or below the switch.

As far as the dial for the spotlight, it is a speed control switch. When that light fails, you can replace it with the same size from Guest and the wiring harness is identical, so you can just plug in to each end.

The alcohol stove can be replaced. It is a common size.

Does the boat already have a water heater? If it does it should already be connected.

I did notice that the switches were lit up at night, I'll check in reference to that panel switch. I'll check that spot light dial for speed too. Thanks for the insight.

It has a water heater but it operates off of 110v right now is all.

I've looked at the Origo stoves but they're kind of pricey. Didn't know if there was a way to retro fit but I guess its easier to just buy new.

Nother question for you. The trim tab control switch is about wore out. Would a Lenco untit with LED indicators plug right in or are there aetra wires/sensors to make the LED indicator indicate?
