When pumping Boat/RV Antifreeze through the Fresh Water System, how does the Hot Water Heater get purged.

The pink stuff is coming through the cold water side, but is
still clear through the Hot Water side.

Is there a Bypass valve/switch to get the stuff through the
how water heater and associted water circuit ?

Any suggestions are appreciated, as always.

most people drain the hot water tank, then tie the hot and cold lines together, then push antifreeze thru.

Shut off hot water tank power!!!drain water tank through all faucets....till pushing air....put antifreeze into water tank and pumpthrough each faucet 1 at a time, includiungg stern faucet if you have 1,,,then .open hot water tank drain cock and pressure relief valve till empty..add more non toxic as needed pressurize and open hot water faucet 1 at a time tikk it passes color of anti freeze,,repeat each fauct till done..shut off pressure pump...open all faucets ..done

There's more than one way to do this, but whenever possible, I like to keep it simple, like Gaiter mentioned. You three, like me, all have very easy access to the fresh water tank and the fitting.

Empty the tank and the hot water heater and then connect the hot/cold lines together at the hot water heater (I just use a short piece of 5/8" garden hose and two hose clamps for this). Remove the water line from the fresh tank and stick it into a bottle of pink (essentially, this now becomes your fresh water holding tank). Now turn the pump on and open each faucet (including the hot side) till pink comes out. You will have no pink in either your fresh tank or the hot tank, but they are empty and will be just fine.

Do you know how to access the fresh water tank on a 05 300DA? From what I can tell it is behind the bulkhead in the engine compartment. Any way to get to it "easily"?

No, I don't know for sure. My "guess" would be that you might have access to it through the mid cabin... maybe a removable panel under some cushions?

Why do you need to. For winterizing I put it right in the tank. I use fresh water anitfreeze from CAMCO. It works good. In spring i drain the tank fill it half way with fresh water drain that, then i fill it 3/4 full and add some Spring Fresh to it run it through the lines until the tank is empty and it ready for summer.
