I am upgrading my the 23" Factory Installed TV on my 2007 Sea Ray Sundancer and wanted to install a TV directly to the 12V system. Therefore, I wanted a TV that had an external power brick with DC-in. This way I could wire the TV directly to the 12V system instead of using a power inverter or generator (which are both inefficient to simply power a TV).

I found several TVs specifically designed for use with RVs that are 12V. However, these were expensive for what you get and I have heard the quality of them isn't as good. However, finding a non-purpose built TV is incredibly difficult as it isn't something that is usually included in the specs. I had to check each TV individually by physically looking at them in store, reviewing pictures, and checking the TV manuals to figure out if it had a DC In socket on the TV (Which means it had an external AC adapter/power brick). All of these TVs are available as of Oct 5, 2023 in the US.

I thought I would share my findings incase anyone else is looking for a TV with DC in.

Notes:

• This list does not include the more expensive TVs that are purpose built for RVs (12V in). For example, brands like Sylvox, Magestic, Jensen, Supersonic, or Free Signal.

• If you don't need/want a TV tuner built into the TV you can search for a "Computer Monitor" as they are much more likely to have DC-In with an external power brick. Then use a FireTV/onn/Android TV stick.

• If you have a 12V system you will need to purchase a 12V to 19V Step-Up converter to wire it via DC.

32" TVs With External Power Brick

Sony 32 Inch 720p HD LED HDR TV KD32W830K - This is the option I went with as it had Google TV built in but it is only 720p. (I was able to get an Open Box from BestBuy for $160)
• 19.5V In - You can probably get away with using a 12V to 19V adapter because they are more readily available, but I found a 19.5V one here
• 720 HD
• 100mm VESA pattern
• Google TV Built-In
• Has two HDMI ports
• Has two USB ports

Samsung UN32M4500A 32-Inch 720p Smart LED TV (2017 Model)
• 19V In
• 720 HD
• 75mm VESA pattern
• Has two HDMI ports
• Has one USB port

27" TVs With External Power Brick

LG 27LQ625S-PU 27" - Around $200 new. It does not appear to be available on Amazon, but it is available from Target and BestBuy
• 19V In
• 1080p FullHD
• 75mm VESA pattern
• webOS Smart TV
• This seems to be the newer version of the 27LP600B-P TV
• Has two HDMI ports
• Has one USB port

LG 27LP600B-P 27" - Around $200 new
• 19V In
• 1080p FullHD
• 100mm VESA pattern
• webOS Smart TV
• Seems to be the older model of 27LQ625S-PU
• Only has one HDMI ports
Does not have a USB port

For the 32" TV, here is what I am going for with the Sony KD32W830K
Back at the boat - I moved the support pads but had to remove the rubber pads which interfered with me getting the factory mount to work without spacing it out.

this is what it looks like mounted - just need to figure out if I am going to use the cables to my iPhone.

And if I got the 27" this is what I would have gone for. The advantage here is I didn't think I would have had to cut out the surround. Assuming, the LG 27" is the newer version of the LG 26" mentioned in this post:
Great install but wow... doesn't that thing get hot?!!
