25ft SLX 8.2L

We had a 2007 250 SLX with the Capt call side exhaust...... my FAVORITE feature. At the time the engine was a 8.1..... REALLY awesome in that boat. We could take it easy and cruise at about 24 or 25 GPS MPH and still idle around into and out of our cove and tank after tank of fuel for over 4 years we got an average of 7.6 gallons per hour. I would always open it up for a couple minute stretch too included in that and the boat would jump up and haul !!!

We didn't have the electric fridge and I'm glad..... WAY too easy to take a cooler as LawyerMan stated it would take too long to cool down. Also as he stated, the side exhaust is definitely an instant testosterone booster.

As for the windlass, I had wished they offered that or put them on the 250SLX model as they do on the 270. Although we anchored often, it was usually in about 10 to 15 feet of water and I was very careful to pull the anchor and chain up without hitting the bow, by hanging out a bit. No issues.

Overall, it was a super sexy
bow rider, always got great comments when pulling into marinas. Tons of usable space. I never used the fresh water system as we were on a lake, so the sink or rear swim platform hose were never used, as the port a potty was also never used. I'd make a point to tell them after we would get back to the boat house.

If I were to to it all over again, I definitely get another 250 SLX. For a number of reasons, we traded our 250 SLX in on a new TriToon with a Yamaha 200. As I knew I would miss my testosterone exhaust system from the Sea Ray, I downloaded a great You Tube of someone's bad ass exhaust and I play it through our pumped up stereo on the TriToon after I tell my buddies that the TriToon had that exhaust as an option..... You should see their faces as I pull around to the floating dock with this exhaust blasting. Too funny.

Here's a pic of the 250 SLX we had as it was picked for the Dec 2013 Club Sea Ray calendar.
