For a friend: what MPG can you expect at a reasonable cruising speed, 250 DA (mid '80s), 350 block, 260 hp, Alpha one?

I believe around 1.5-2.00 gallons hr that is what I get in 2-4 swells and GPS 14-18 mph (+/- 2)mph. and little wind 4-10 rpms 26-2800

I used to get about 2.5 mpg at 25 mph and about 3250 RPM - 5.7 EFI, BIII drive. I would expect a little poorer gas mileage out of his power plant/drive, but I don't know how much his 250 weighs, but it must be close to what mine was.
That's about 10 gallons per hour. I think that's a good estimate.

Thanks, guys. My guess was 2.0, but I don't want the guy to cut it too close on a 50 gal. tank.
