I always have water in my 250 SLX ski locker -- I think that's due to the fact the bilge pump that attends that area leaves 3/4" of water. That's the manufactures spec for Rule and Attwood. Any 250 SLX owners see that differently?
Second, If I step on the floor of the ski locker, water comes out from under the plugs located on the floor. The plugs are where foam was inserted. Is that common?
My 250 SLX has 75 hours on it and is stored on a hoist.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Any 250 SLX owners out there with this problem?
This is really concerning to me -- I could end up with a "wet" boat and no resale value.
I've talked to Sea Ray customer service twice -- told me to go to a dealer -- in a nice way but not much help

My neighbor has the same problem. He uses a shop vac to dry it out. He is not very happy either

I have a 2014 250 SLX that has the water in the ski locker issue. I have contacted Sea Ray about the issue but no response yet. They could solve the issue with a check valve in the discharge line so that the water could not back flow from the over board hose. I do not have the plug leak issue.

Thanks for the replies. Trying hard to get this resolved -- looks like the water in the locker is a design issue so it'll be difficult to find an alternative. The water coming from under the center plug is really frustrating. I cut a section of sponge and jammed it into the void under the plug over and over again for the better part of an hour trying to get the water out. I think I did it. Water has stopped filling the void. I'll see what happens next time it rains -- try to find where the stinking water is coming from.

Our 2007 appears dry. I've lifted up the plastic mat flooring in the floor of the ski locker, but it always seems dry. We also are hanging in a covered boat dock on a lift.

Strake -- thanks -- glad you're in good shape. Rained today and I had water oozing out of the middle floor plug.
I got problems

Sorry to hear you're soggy....... it poured here in SW VA this evening for an hour. Even under the covered hanging dock, I bet I'm wet inside. Will definitely look tomorrow at the ski locker.

Figures..... I just put our carpet back in this morning, after having it out since last fall and cleaning it a week ago.

I hope your ski locker was dry -- my guess is not. I plan to call Sea Ray customer service again and see if I can get in touch with one of their production people. I'll bet they would know what's going on and how to fix it.
If I have any luck, I'll post.
Thanks

I made a point to check the ski locker yesterday, while cleaning up the boat from a 10 day visit to the lake. Locker was dry. Even pulled up the white plastic mat at the rear edge to make sure.

We do keep the boat in a covered lift and I keep a mooring cover on it in there when we are not there. But we used the boat daily this past 10 days and it was in the water for 4 to 10 hours per day without a drop. Guess I am one of the lucky ones.

My boat is in a lift as well but it's not covered. All I have is the bow and cockpit canvas. I'm pretty sure my water in the ski locker is coming from rain. It poured a few days ago and my ski locker was really wet. I got all the water out but it continued to ooze out of the center floor plug. Somehow rainwater is finding it's way between the foam filler and the fiberglass. I've looked everywhere and can't find the source.
Very, very frustrating

Dear All - has anyone found a solution for this ?
I do also have water in the ski locker on my SLX 250 ( 2008 model ) - now the problem is that after cleaning the whole ski locker and second bilge pump area, behind the wooden cover for the water tank pump, i found that there are 3 small holes in the floor near the float switch - see picture. so sure some water must have gone in there. Now my question is - is there any foam between the bottom ( floor ) of the ski locker and the hull of the boat - i guess yes ( foam ? ). What could be the problem if that foam gets all wet ??

Hello all,
I’m new here. I have a 06 250slx and found the same problems. Inside the ski locker there is a false floor. I cut open the false floor and there is not much space underneath but was holding water. Appears to be fiberglass. All the water that comes into this area is my guess rain water(i hope)
Does anyone know where on this boat is foam? I need to check this asap
Also, what under the bilge floor? Is there a drain from ski locker to the bilge?

I am believed my boat is waterlogged bad. I have a 350 merc with bravo 3 and I can only get the boat up to 36mph. Engine is running great and have new prop 20pitch from hill marine 4x4.

please some help would be great

Hahah thanks for stating the obvious ..
Just looking how to check if my boat is waterlogged ..

Can you weigh it? That would be the first thing I would do. Long before assuming it is waterlogged and just cutting into the floor unless of course it was soft. My 7000 lb tub hits 40 mph with a pre-vortec 5.7. Lots of other things can contribute to poor performance.
