Just took delivery of our new 2014 250 SLX from MarineMax Dallas. As you can see from my sig this is not my first Sea Ray. Wife saw the boat for the first time when we took delivery (she trust me) and she is very pleased. I do have a question for other 250 owners. The table that was in the boat requires an ell base stand. Is this typical since I am used to a straight vertical base stand? The boat had a vertical stand from the factory and MarineMax is getting me an ell stand! Also Faria had some problems with a group of speedos and they are having to replace it. Other than that, everything is great. I will occasionally post about our experience once we have some time in the boat.

Can't comment on the 250 other than to say I want one.

Congratulations on the purchase, I'm sure you will enjoy the lower maintenance compared to your previous boats.

Welcome aboard.

Congrats on the new boat !
We're looking at potentially upgrading ours this year.
I've been looking at a few 260 Sundecks but always end up on Sea Ray's site looking at the 250 SLX. Very nice.

I looked at the SLX extensively before settling on 2010 230 Select. I also looked at MM in Dallas a lot. SLX are very nice and congratulations.

Welcome to the 250 SLX !!! I think I understand what you are asking about the table base. Ours is "L" shaped. It's not straight.

Just an update from my original post. The table base was ell shaped and has been replaced. Also the speedo issue was a software problem in the Tach not talking to the speedo. That was corrected with a new Tach. MarineMax was responsive to both issues and handle them in a timely manner.

The only current issue is there appears to be a water leak into the bilge. I think it is around the underwater lights. Has anyone else seen this type of leak?

Welcome, we also have a 250SLX -- 2011 model (although I don't think they're many differences). Overall it's been a great boat... had the same problem with the speedo, but MarineMax was able to get it repaired. Also have an issue with my Sunbrella cover on the arch, but hopefully that will be covered under warranty too (they advertise 10 years).

I'm currently looking at installing a battery charger, and getting the PlasDeck put on the swim platform.

Any pics of yours?

I have the SeaDeck/Plasdeck on my swim platform. I have not taken any pictures except overall shots. Tried to insert but the size is too large. I am not a photoshop guy!

I'm fighting some "water intrusion" as well. My ski locker is always wet. The pump located just aft of the locker takes about an inch of water before it turns on. So water is typically sloshing around in the locker, particularly after I wash the floor. There are several plugs in the floor of the ski locker. I pried one of them up and water seeped out.
My SLX has 70 hours on it and it's always been stored in a rack or lift.
Anyone else typically have water in the ski locker?
Thanks

Thanks

My ski locker got wet with rain water and you are correct the pump takes a significant amount of water before it kicks on. I also had some fiberglass shavings from original construction that jammed the pump. I sent pictures and recommendations to Sea Ray in TN about the need to address these issues. They did email me and stated they were discussing my issue. That will not help you and me since the well that the pumps sits in is not deep enough to prevent water build up in the ski locker before the pump kicks on. I plan on keeping a close eye on water in the locker and manually turning on the pump thru the inspection port.
