240 Sundeck Head Mirror/Med Cabinet

I have been unable to open the med cabinet in the head on my '07 240SD. Checked with Sea Ray they said it opens and the parts manual confirms. Tried with a screwdriver levered with a wood dowel to protect the head wall. Carlus at factory says ten pounds of pressure should spring the latch and I'm sure I have applied way more than ten. Anybody else experienced this?

Do you have the bench port seat? If not, no med cabinet.

Thanks Chuck never thought of that angle. Glad I didn't pull the wall off trying to open the cabinet.
