Hello All:grin:
I was thinking of purchasing a 240 sundeck...i understand this is a luxury boat not geared for fishing..but is there any spot to fish from on this boat? My dad loves to fish... I can take it or leave it:smt001..but I thought if he goes with me he would enjoy?..It is possible to fish of these boats?

Well, you should be pretty familiar with the general layout - like the 210SD in your signature. It's just that everything is bigger and A TON more storage. A LOT.

The rear platform is certainly nicer and easier to walk around on.

How about making a casting platform up in the bow? Cut some pieces of plywood, put some carpet on them, hinge them together. Remove your bow seats and plop the plywood in place. Put a seat base or two up there for a fishing seat/pole and you're good to go. You can even make a livewell out of an Igloo cooler.

When you're not fishing, pull the ply out and set your cushions back in.

Although it's not a fishing boat per se, we did a lot of fishing on ours. Mostly standing on the swim platform but there is plenty of room to walk and cast on the inside too. Wouldn't tournament fish but it works just fine.

Yup, we fished ours a lot. There is a guy in our high and dry that put a trolling motor guide and motor on the bow to the port of the anchor locker on his 240. Works great, he brings in a lot of fish. My advice would be to remove the carpet if you are going to do any real fishing...
