Wondering if anyone else has seen/fixed this issue... The center bilge section of my 240 basically won't drain. When I put my finger in the drain hole I feel a hard plastic object blocking the drain on the other side. I was guessing it was the fuel tank. I popped the fuel tank access in the floor and the fuel tank sits flush up against the barrier between the center and rear bilge compartments(in a position where it could block the drain). I don't see how they could possibly have designed it this way...but stranger things have been done I am sure.

Can anyone provide any insight into how the center section is supposed to drain to the rear for pump out with the fuel tank in the way. As you can imagine it is a bit problematic as several drains go right into the center section. I am always have to shop vac the water out to keep it clean and dry.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Look at the brackets that hold the tank in place and make sure they are not broken allowing the tank to shift into the way.
About 9 mos to a year ago it seems like a few 240's (I don't recall if they were DA's or SD's) had an issue with the tank brackets breaking.

Yep, you should have some space between the tank and drain. With that said the center storage will not drain all the way do to the drain being about an inch above the floor to keep garbage from ending up in the bilge. I've cut a wooden board that sits across the floor of the storage area to keep the mat off the floor and out of the water. I keep a small wet vac to suck up the water that gets trapped in it.

Thanks guys...looks like it is time to pop the top again and try to move the tank back a bit. It had 65 gallons of gas in it the last time so moving it was not in the cards. I will have to burn some off and give it a go. I should have looked closer but it seemed pretty snug against the rear "ledge" that holds it on the bottom rear. The only bracket I saw was the big aluminum one across the top. It looked to be in great condition. At least now I know how it is supposed to work so I can try to get it right.
Cheers!

I'm confused, which fuel tank access door? Perhaps the 2000 model didn't have this, but I am confused.

As far as the drain back, I had it get clogged and it was a frustrating coat hanger episode to clear it.

Sorry for not being more clear. The access I am referring to is a deck plate that you remove and lift up to access the top of the fuel tank. I am going to give the coat hanger a go because moving the tank is not an easy proposition. That said when I put my finger in there all I feel is tank so I am not sure there is any room for the water to drain...I would expect at least 1/4" clearance.
