I wondering if I have to go all the way around my boat with the signal cable to an amp I want to place on the port side of my boat. The stereo head unit is in the helm side storage and I want to put the amp in the storage just in front of the batteries on the port side. Anyone know of an easy shortcut across the boat?

It will be cheaper and better to put the amp closer to the radio and use shorter RCA's. The power and ground cable will be cheaper and you run less risk of getting any kind of noise in the RCA's with such a long run.
