I am looking at either a 21 or 24 foot sundeck. I see that the 5.0 liter is common in both boats. I understand that the same motor will give the smaller boat (seemingly) more power, but, does the 24 feel underpowered in any way?

If anyone can advise on the sundecks in general, I would appreciate it!!!

Thanks!!!

Wade

My 240 has the 5.0 and plenty of power. She gets up on plane very quickly, and I ALWAYS have a boat full of people and kids. The 5.0 runs very smoothly also.

Another thumbs up on the 5.0 which I had on my 2002 240 Sundeck. Mine topped out around 48mph on my GPS. I regularly had a boat load of folks on board and it performed fine.

I have three teenagers and a seven year old. A day on the lake for us can be as many as ten people, with everything from Barbies to wake boards. We had a 21' ski boat that simply didn't do the trick and the 240 Sundeck seems to handle everyone fine. We test drove the 5.0 and didn't have a problem with it, but the one we ended up with came with a 350 (5.7l) 300 horse-which might come in handy in the event we are suddenly called upon unexpectedly to help tow a beached supertanker.

My boat looks a lot like Jedi but an 05 with the same set up and ours is great too. We always have a load of kids and 2-4 adults and it runs great! we regularly pull 2 at a time with no problems.....

My previous boat was a 240 (great boat by the way) with a 5.0 and like the other posts, mine performed great. I don't think you'd be dissapointed.

No complaints here I have a 2007 240SD with the 5.0 MPI gets up on plain quick great for towing tubers and skiers or just cruising around. We looked at the 220 to start with but liked the 240 more for the amount of room you get.
