230 BR Signature Bow Filler Cushion Setup

I went to use the bow filler cushion this past weekend and was perplexed as the cushion had snaps and didn't seem to fit in the open space on the bow.

Are there any other 230 BR owners (or similar) who can help me with this setup or point me to a doc of some sort that describes the setup? My model year is 2001.

Ron,

It is more than likely the filler for your U-shaped bench seat.

You should have a short post located in the center bench compartment. The table serves as the filler base. Simply place the post in the sole/cockpit and table mounts. The flap of the filler cushion then wraps around the table lip to the snaps found along the inner section of the table lip.

The filler then converts the U-shaped bench into a larger rectangular bench/additional sunpad.

Ron,

Since you bought the boat used, a couple of pieces could be missing. You should also have a longer post also located under the center bench seat for table use. The table should be stored in a recess sandwiched between the engine and sunpad.

No problem. Sounds like you have all of the pieces. It's been a long time, but I believe the bow filler cushion was optional. I think we may have used the bench filler cushion three times in eleven years.

I know I have the larger pole as we use the table all the time. I will look for the smaller pole tomorrow.

I have 2 peices with a plastic lip on them that seem to fit in the bow area, but have not seen the pad that goes on top. I will empty out the helm console tomorrow as well and see it its stuck in there somewhere.

I am jealaous as our used 230 BR did not come with the aft filler cushion which was standard with the boat, but the previous owner misplaced it. As I understand, the aft cushion was standard while the bow fillers were optional.

Does anybody know where I can get the bow filler cushions ?
We use the aft ones but do not have the bow.
Or if anybody has any good pics of the front supports and cushion I may be able to make or have some made.

i would like to make one too..so far best idea is to get cardboard and trace the outline from underneath as it lays over the center area and then trim cardboard till the fit is perfect. Can make the supports out of either wood or plastic. If using wood i would seal it.Use the cardboard to make the base of the cushion as well and have a shop install the foam and your selected vinyl. might just work.....:huh:
