215 EC onboard battery charger placement

Looking for advice on battery charger placement on my 215 EC. I would like to place it in the engine compartment, on the bulkhead forward of the engine if possible. The charger says I need 8" of clearance around the entire unit...I dont have that kind of real estate anywhere on the entire boat!

my 215EC had dual batteries with one on each side of the engine....i mounted an on-board dual bank charger in front of the starboard side battery....

if you do mount the charger on the forward bulkhead wall of the engine room just be sure not to drill all the way through the wall....the gas tank is on the other side of that wall and right up against it....if you drill a hole through the wall you will also drill through the gas tank wall....ask me how i know....that was a $600 mistake....
