Today made me realize season over. Got notification all my favorite waterfront places are done after next weekend.
I made arrangements to haul next Saturday. Need to focus on other upcoming things.
Been a useless boating summer, aint moved her out of slip since 7/19.
Next year will be better I’m sure.
I have actually looked at the state of the market for used boats. Covid boaters are selling for 30 cents on the dollar and ain’t a snow ball chance in hell I would sell at these market prices.
She paid for so I’ll just keep her and see how next year goes. Besides I finally got the slip i been waiting for.

The prices in the midwest don’t seem to have dropped much at all

I saw a 1995 rinker 232 captiva for $6000 I thought “that’s a good deal”

Needs new bravo 3 drive and it was a barn find so the buyer will have to figure out how to get a title to register it…. Never mind, boat market still high

Maybe not feasible for you, but trailering is a great option for boats of this size if you have parking for them.
Foul storms and extreme low temps are the only thing that effects our winter runs. Will probably still get 10-14 days out on the water before year end.

What places are closing
Tiki Lee, Crazy Tuna, Bowleys on the Bay, Sunset Cove, Jelly Joels all posted notices on FB they are closing for the season very soon.
Shanty at Tolchester was having their end of season bash this weekend, but cancelled because of storm, and posted 'see you next year'.
I am not inclined to go out just to bob around at anchor anymore, so with everything closing, I will pull her early.
About the only reason I finally gave in and joined FB is because all the places post specials, events, bands, open/close weather related, on FB anymore.

This has been one of the nicest Septembers in a few years up here in southern Ontario. Very little wind or rain and sunny and high 60s or low 70s in the daytime. Not pulling the boat till the end of October. But lots of fall cleanup and winterization going on at our marina this weekend. Next week the crazy haul out schedule starts for the marina. But not for me yet.

30 cents on the dollar? You serious? Maybe a regional thing but not at the marina I’m at in the Midwest despite the time of year. Send those listings my way!

Not in Kent Narrows MD either ... Must be a Middle River thing.

Have not seen evidence of the resale market falling at all. You should talk to an experienced broker to get an accurate understanding of the market today.
