I'm pretty sure it's also mandatory to post a pic with the boat it in. Just say'n....

until tomorrow

Day 2 - 6 hour run from Bimini to Nassau. Running across the bank was flat for 4 hours in 15 feet of water. Then hit the tongue of the ocean and it was a solid 3 footers for the next 2 hours. Thank good for autopilot and wipers. Wind at 10 knots from the southwest with the spray we were salted up. Made it to Nassau and docked safely at Atlantis… Super cool!!!! Went and enjoyed the water park and now heading to dinner. Boat running great, tomorrow we will enjoy the resort all day and then Sunday depart for Staniel.

Funny you mentioned the autopilot and the wipers. I can't imagine doing a long trip without an AP. I use it 90% of most of my trips, even locally.

Wipers are a must for lower helm. On a bridge boat you can get away without it.

Atlantis marina definitely presents a huge WOW factor. I don't even know any place that beats it, from what you get at a marina resort point of view. If you do, let me know and I'll put it on my bucket list.

Have fun and keep posting pictures.

So sorry I had to miss this bahamas trip. Keep sending pics, allowing me to live vicariously thru you. Hope you all have a great time! Jeff

P.S. Send my regards to Larry Q.

Spent the last day at Atlantis enjoying the park and exploring the property. My wife is like a 12 year old wanting to do the slides and Rapids river over and over. That was the highlight of her trip so far. Left yesterday at 8 am stoped to get fuel at hurricane hole marina which was easy on the wallet compared to last year at $4.50 a gallon. Then a 3 hour run to Staniel Cay with 8 boats. Little lumpy but easy. Arrived at 12:30 and had to wait an hour to get a dock space. They fail to tell you check in is a 2 pm in all the emails they send you. Anyway it’s the Bahamas…lol. Gave the boat a good wash, deployed the dinghy and got everything situated. Went to find a beach to watch the sunset and enjoy the evening activities. Tomorrow is a full day of exploring and snorkeling.

That front sunshade is great. Must have been a bit nerve-wracking drilling the holes for the support poles though.

Did you find it a bit nerve wracking cutting through all of the coral heads on that Southeast trek out of Nassau?

I always stayed to the right, went to Hiborne first, and kept a keen eye out. 4'6" draft back then. Definitely a bunch of "Don't" rocks on that run. @ocgrant Pet an oinker for me. Maybe next year.....

Well after 4 beautiful days here in Staniel Cay time has come to head further south to go check out Great Exuma. It has been wonderful here and so much to do. Will be back here again in a couple of years for sure.

Well we are 339 miles in since leaving south Florida and made it to our southern most point Great Exuma. Had been a great trip and looking forward to my ATV trip today to explore the island then into Georgetown to explore the town. 9 boats are continuing on this great extended journey

So awesome! What does the boat lineup look like? (Curious what is the smallest to make the trip with you, as well as the largest!)

Yes, Grant, please keep us less worthy people updated on your trip! Looks awesome!

Biggest is a 60 foot Cruisers Cantius and smallest is a 29 Well Craft. Most boats are 40-50 footers. We have been cruising at 20 knots most of the time.

Yesterday was a great ATV adventure tour and a trip to Georgetown. We had rain and wind so worked out great as a break in the heat and made the ATVs even more fun playing in the mud. ATVs were awesome and had some great stops to show us the history of Great Exuma. Georgetown was underwhelming to tell the truth. Found a great food stand had a couple of beers and some really good conk fritters. Today we are going to try and get to Chat n Chill if we can. We will see…
