We are now a month away from our get together at the Paper District Marina in Sandusky. If you are planning to join us and your name isn't on the list (See Post #2), let us know so that we can make sure we have enough docks. Looking forward to a another good weekend with the group from CSR.

Are boat-less attendees allowed? I'll be in the area but my boat is quite a long way south.

OK everyone we are getting close. :smt038:smt038 We have just a few short weeks until it will once again be time to join together and enjoy one another company in down town Sandusky. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again and hopefully meeting some new faces. We will not have to rent tables and chairs this year as there are several nice picknick tables in the pavilion already for us to use. If you have some table cloths to bring that might be a nice idea. We have 12 30 amp docks reserved which is all of the open space on that pier. We have 8 50 amp docks available for those with the adapters or for day boats to use. For those that are "boat less" or want to join us but don't want to come by way of boat please feel free to do so. The marina has an expansive parking lot that is free and open to the public.

Itinerary is as follows for the weekend.

Friday - Take over the Paper district marina and have an have a cocktail / meet and greet in the pavilion at lets say 7PM. No need to bring anything if you don't wish too just have a nice social hour.

Saturday - 1 PM potluck and goodie bags at the pavilion. After the pot luck feel free to do as you please. We are usually a pretty laid back group and what ever is fine by me.

Sunday - depart and close a wonderful weekend where everyone makes it back to their home ports safe and ready for the next boating adventure.


For the pot luck I plan on bringing a main dish and a desert (Ruth's request):grin:

If we could get a list of food items and such to try and plan our meal that would be greatly appreciated.

Look forward and I must thank Casey for the help with the goodie bags and all of the work he puts into this even every year! I couldn't do it with out him!:thumbsup:


Please if you plan to attend get the request to ME or Casey so we can get you added to the list. It is a 1st come 1st serve on the docks we have allotted on the 30 amp side.

Bill,

Your added to the list! I'm sure Jason will put you on the 50amp dock - same as last year. This will provide easy in and out of the marina for all the test rides you'll be conducting. Good luck with the sale!

One week until we get together in Sandusky. If you are planning on joining us and have not yet let Jason or I know, please do so soon.

This year we have some wonderful items that will be given away to attendees. All I can say is that the vendor community in the recreational marine and boating industry has been very generous with their donations. The UPS and FedEX drivers and I are on a first name basis as a result of the number of deliveries they have made. The Admiral can't wait until next weekend because all this good "stuff" will be loaded into our vehicles and she will have her dining room back!

Make sure you join us for the potluck lunch on Saturday at 1pm. Welcome Gift Bags and prizes will be distributed after lunch. You won't want to miss this.

We also picked up disposable table cloths for the picnic tables. Take those off your list of things to bring.

See everyone soon!

Less than a week to go !!! We would still like to know what everyone will be bringing to the potluck on Saturday. We are still trying to decide - choices somewhat limited with no fridge or cooking area - the joys of a small boat!!

As stated in a previous post the recreational marine and boating manufacturers have been very generous in supporting our event. The welcome/goodie bags are complete and ready to go - lots of good stuff. In addition we have many, many gifts that will also be given away!

There's still time to join us.

Look forward to seeing everyone in Sandusky!

Do we need to call the marina and let them know we are coming or are we all set with a block reserved. Will be on the 50 amp docks.

I believe Jason has reserved a block of docks. Just check in when you arrive.

Yes we have 12 x 30 amp docks and 8 x 50 amp docks for those with adapters or
day boats can use the 50 amp side without issue. I'm headed over Thursday so I will make sure we are still good to go. Looking forward to it!

Have another person who would like to attend. Chuck Meyers and his wife. He has a 27 searay that he is restoring.He is a local marine mechanic and plans on having his boat launched for the rendezvous. He would need to be on the 30 amp dock with the majority of us. Let me know if he can be added. Thanks
