Hi,

I love my 2011 300 SLX - but I wish it had something like a glove box close to the helm, where I could store a wallet, phone, sunglasses, etc. I've been using the sink for this purpose but then when you want to use the sink as a sink, it's a hassle.

Has anyone found any aftermarket options or have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

The lack of a glove box was the one thing that I didn't like about my 2006 240 Sundeck. My newer 2025 has a small cubby on the helm, and a small cubby over the head. But there still isn't enough storage for everyone to put their phones. Maybe I'm getting old, but sometimes I miss the old days when you left town for a week without a phone.

I hear ya! I use my phone to play satellite radio on my boat, and it's always with me for work anyway. I'm not thinking there's any hollow space to install a new cubby or glove box contraption, but I guess I need to find a way to confirm that....

First thought... the fold-down access door under the steering wheel... is there room to install a small pocket/cubby on the back-side of the door? In other words, tilt out the door to access the new storage cubby. Ever see those plastic, office file holders that install on an office door or wall? Basically, that idea on the back-side of the fold-down door.

Could you install something like this into the companion-way side of the dash? https://thmarinesupplies.com/collections/hatches-plates-lids/products/sure-seal-versatubes
