2009 SeaRay 205 Sport or 210 Select?

I am about to purchase a new 2009 SeaRay 205 Sport. But I keep looking at the 210 Select wondering if I should go with that boat instead. It looks like it's about a $10K price difference from my local dealer. I would go with the bench seat in either version. Anyone have suggestions on which to with? Should I stick with the 205 or splurge for the 210 Select?

This will be my first sport boat purchase!

Thanks!

I love my 210 select...so my input would be biased.

Look at how you will use the boat and what you will really be doing on the water. Cruising, water sports, boat camping, etc and try to see yourself doing it with that boat.

You're the only one that can answer this question. As mentioned above, look at what you will doing with the boat. Will the 205 do the job? Do the features of the 210 warrant paying the extra money?

With the same engine, the 205 is quicker out of the hole. The 210 will give a little bit nicer ride.

I own a 220 Select, never looked at the Sport model. All I can tell you is I am very happy with the amenities and build quality of my Select. Having upgraded from an entry-level builder (Caravelle) to my Select, I can tell you there is a world of difference in what goes into the "Select" line compared to entry-level boats. If price is the problem, try looking for a used Select. I am sure you could make up that $10K difference just in depreciation.

If you go with the 205, for the love of god please do not get the graphics that come with it! Splurge the extra couple hundred bucks and get the wakeboard graphics or a plain hull!!!!

I agree. The select is one nice boat...

I have seen several in the 25-35K range with less than 50 hours on them.

Go with the Select. My previous boat was a 200 Sport and the Select has a much better ride. You also sit deeper in the cockpit of a Select, which is a plus if you have little ones on board.
