I was told by the company I am storing my boat with for the winter that I need to change the water pumps on my fresh water cooled Mercruiser engines after 300 hours. Has anyone ever heard of this. I can't find any information anywhere verifying the need. I read about raw water pumps needing replacement on salt water cooled engines but not engine water pumps on fresh water cooled.
