i just had sa be problem on our 2007 340 DA, temp spiked to 175 , luckily i was 15 minutes away from marina, i suspected Impeller , but when i removed the. belt to remove pump, the pulley and shaft came out, all bearing seals shot to hell. I removed pump, inspected impeller , is was ok. I got a new pump with shaft installed, repressed the pulley back on, reinstalled and everything works fine. The biggest challenge is to remove and replace, there is just no room, pump is ate lowest part of engine. Good luckOn Labor Day (coming back from San Juan Islands) I got an engine temp alarm on my Port Engine but both temperature readings on my smartcraft were around 180 which is nominal at 3400 RPM. I slowed down and the alarm went away, I then drove at 3400 RPM for about 3 hours before the temperature started ramping up and alarmed at about 200 and maxed out at 230 (some smoke coming from the engine).
I let it cool down to 170 and tried to restart and got a low voltage alarm.
What should I check first as to the cause for this?
