2008 AXIUS - Gen1

all what you need is a software upgrade to enable the functionality. Something the dealer can do. You don't even need the buzzer, mine works WITHOUT a buzzer. the buzzer for safety ONLY!

Skyhook requires GPS coordinates, there is a blue wire which must be connected to a GPS source that supports NEMA 0183 which I'm sure if you trace the wires, you will find that it is already connected. Even the joystick, it connects directly to the hub (one connection).

Found a new, old stock joystick. Three screws and one plug later and joystick is working again! Skyhook still turning off, but it tries to activate and propellor warnings pop up vessel view, along with alarm in the transom. So I know at least it’s installed. Next stop is to attach the Raymarine to the Smartcraft and see if I just have a bad GPS for the skyhook. Thanks for all the info!

GPS signal is needed to have AXIUS to work. Do you have a NEMA 2k network? If so, then any device with gps will be good enough for your test.
