2008 - 47 Sedan Bridge - Fresh water system plumbing

In need to replace some of the blue and red hose connections. They are beginning to leak at the stainless connection. I have been looking at different threads and am not sure if this is Pex or Sea Tec. Does any one have a suggestion for or location to purchase repair fittings or pre-made sections of this hose and fittings?

Depending on what you need...

SeaTech (Watts) no longer makes fittings like ours, which are NPT (tapered) threads.

I was able to use this from McMaster-Carr:

Brass Barbed Hose Fitting for Air and Water
Adapter with Swivel, 1/2" Hose ID, 1/2 NPSM Female End
5365K31

to replace a failed SeaTech connector when we replaced a VacuFlush freshwater inlet valve... which came with NPS (straight) threads. McMaster has a version for tapered threads, too.

I cut off the original connector, used the McMaster replacement with good hose clamps.

Normally, the leak is from the brass crimp...

1/2" pex fittings will work. The only issue is the barb fits loosely in the blue/red SeaTech hose. To work around this issue, regular SS hose fittings will work if you heat the hose as you tighten it down. ttmott went this direction.

I did basically ever connection on our 2007 44DB with the pex fittings and used these clamps from McMaster Carr.....

Bought the tool to tighten them with from Amazon. Never another leak.

Ironically, on the 2003 420DB, never a leak with the same hoses/clamps....

Watts told me those are not the same, not replacements for our original crimped on fittings. Nor do they have a replacement for our original fittings.

Hence my turn toward alternative, as that fitting from McMaster-Carr that I used for our VacuFlush water inlet.
