Has anyone figured out a way to add a aft drop curtain to a 44 DA? If so, do you have pics?

I have tried ... the bottom attachment point are my issue . I don't want more snaps . I used the existing zippers on top and sides obviously . the bottom needs to be well secured right where the engine hatch closes. if not it whips back and forth violently while under way. .... the unacceptable answer is snaps on the aft facing seat at the bottom . not acceptable . Also rolling the new back drop with a lot glass was a pain the ass. so I abandoned the project.

Not sure what you were looking for but here is a pic of my 440 DA with a custom camper back the PO had made.

Rob, I am not a fan of the camper backs, even though all my buddies at our marina have them. Honestly, I hate canvas, because its a pain in the A$$ to remove and install.

A few years ago, I had Anthony, at AMC make me drop curtains. I installed the rings that fold down flat, into the ER hatch/cockpit floor. Anthony installed straps at bottom of the curtains that clip to the rings. On nice days I roll the curtains up and the back of the boat is open, like I like it. I also had Anthony make a canvas cover for my aft seats, so I no longer have to cover the back of my boat. Note, I have no carpet in uncovered area. All I do is drop the curtains, clip to the eye on the floor and boat is covered. I love this set up. And when its raining or cold, I run the boat with the aft curtains down and we are toasty warm. On cold sunny days, it is truly warm in there, like a greenhouse (Nov/Dec). I even have good vis for docking with the curtains down.

If it would help, I can snap some pics for you - let me know.

Jeff
