Hi Guys,,have a 2008 330 with the automatic bed, early into this past season the electric box that works the actuator would make a loud whistle noise but still worked, now just a whistle and no movement of the bed. Has anyone had to replace it and where and about how much to do it. Thanks for any input

The control box is AC powered but is wired through the batteries with an inverter. When I had a faulty battery, it drew the whole bank down to a level that barely made enough AC power to run the motor. The control box whistled like you are describing. After replacing the batteries, the problem went away. Have you tried plugging the control box directly into an AC outlet? If not, your problem may be the inverter or a connection somewhere in between.

Don't think its a battery problem , all 4 were replaced after repairs from Sandy and she was launched first week of July, there is a plug that goes into the box but will have to wait till Spring,,shrink wrapped for the winter. I guess I was looking to see if this was a known problem with other owners,,I remember when I first bought it and thought to myself "cool feature but will be the first thing to go" lol

Next think to test is the inverter. Plugging in the motor directly will tell you if its a motor problem or an inverter problem.

I had a similar issue on mine. The dealer looked at the connections behind the panel in the starboard wardrobe cabinet and found a bad connection. I was told that the connector was too taut so he rerouted the cable and that fixed the issue. It was not getting the full voltage.
