Recently purchased 2008 310 DA and having problem with the MDP breaker tripping. The supply is 30 Amps. The A/C is usually on and whenever we turn on the microwave or other devices the breaker trips. I know that these draw a lot of amperage but the boat should be designed to run these. It has also tripped with other devices running at the same time. The dealer has already replaced the MDP main breaker but this continues to be an issue. Is this just a poor design? Is there a remedy to this problem?

Thanks

a/c - 10-15A
microwave - 7 -15A depends on model
plus rest of circuits and same breaker panel and you easily exceed 30A capacity
boat maybe should be design to run all of those but power on dock is not - they are listed only 30A or 50A and boat can not let you draw more.

Thanks. This is the MDP breaker tripping not the shore power breaker?

Same thing happened to us this weekend. Forgot what you could and couldn't run. Trial and error.

I noted one of my breakers would trip when the AC came on. I traced this to having the compessor and fan start at the same time (surge too great). I programmed in a compressor delay in the Cruise Air AC control panel which delays the compressor start up by 15 seconds....no problems sense.

same issue too..should not be an issue as i have never had a problem in prior 30 amp boats....

Don't get me wrong but what are you consider MDP breaker
(Main Distribution Panel)? Shore breaker? Generator?
Most likely they both rated same or there would be no sense not to install 50A service on boat.
