I wanted to know if anyone had a good lead on where to get the long piano hinge for the aft bench seat on the 280 dancer (I can’t get to the boat and measure the length either right now so if someone has that it’s greatly appreciated). specifically I’m looking for the hinge that attaches to the boat and also has an L shape on the seat side. Thanks for any help!

I’m not sure what you mean by that last part, but if you need a standard, stainless steel piano hinge, I have one.
I’ll check the length today, but I’m guessing it’s about 40” long or so.
Let me know when you determine the length that you need.

I found it. I can’t believe it, but I found it.
It’s 44” long and 2” across when open.

This is what I believe I’m looking for. I found this picture on an old thread. so one side is straight and attaches to the boat and the other part has a 90 degree L bracket. The guy who posted this found a replacement on Great Lakes skipper, but I’ve had no such luck.

Unfortunately, the hinge I have does not have that 90 degree bend in the one hinge leaf.
If you can figure out a way around that, I’d be glad to give it to you.
Might be possible to have a metal shop brake bend it, but then the screw holes might not work out.
Lemme know what you come up with.
