240 Sundancer 2008. Looking to purchase
Engines
Boatless
Hello everyone, I am looking at purchasing a 2008 240 Sundancer and I have a few questions that I would like to know before purchasing.
It has a 5.0L Bravo lll. How is the fuel consumption for this size of vessel? Do you run marine fuel /Non ethanol or what?
Is this enough engine for the boat especially with 5 to 6 people in the boat?
The boat will be used for family cruising mainly inner coastal, visiting sand bars some light camping. Plan on taking her out in the ocean a bit on calm days. Read some reviews on how she handles chop.
I have read the reviews about stability issues and just needing to learn how to trim the boat.
If there is anything else you think I should know prior to purchasing or wish you knew first please let me know. I plan on taking it for sea trials this weekend. Thank you.

At cruising speed of 26 mph you should get around 2 3/4 mpg. Much better mpg at cocktail speed. Your boat will top out at 42-43mph. I always run the cheap 10% ethanol fuel unless I’m going to store it long term. I know guys Will chastise me but I’ve never had a problem.

Thank you. We are back and forth between sundeck or Sundancer. Just trying to pick the right one for the family.
