We are considering a larger boat for next year and we like the size of the newer 330DA. Just wanted to know from those of you who own this boat, some of your likes and dislikes with this model. We would be looking at a boat with V drives. Thanks for your opinions.

Going from a 260 to a 330 with V-Drives…. Well let’s just say you will fall in love again!

I am sure! I have got the itis bad! Just doing homework and something to do over the winter months.

Went from a 260 to a 320 - it has been great. The biggest issue is the cost of the boat. We liked our 260 - but the 320 is great for staying on. There are some things I like better on the 330 and there are some things I like better about the 320.

You might want to send a PM to Julia Valentine, he just purchased a new 330DA and seems real happy with it.

HERE I AM!!!

While on my first boat for a year, an '07 290DA, I was in love with the 36DB and fought hard to get it. Long story short, it did not happen. So, needing more room reality set in and I looked long and hard at the 330DA. The more I looked, the more I liked. Long story short, it ended up in my slip and I have no itis. I am head over heels. What a fantastic boat!
Plenty of power, storage, room, and weight. I love the side decks, windshield walk through, fuel fills on both sides, dual 30A service, helm station, engine room, bow thruster, and cockpit layout. The canvas is soooo easy to use.

Dislikes??? I don't have any. Seriously, I sat here for 5 minutes trying to think of one.

Improvements: Glass in the cockpit? Standard diesel engines? Standard solid wood flooring in the cabin like the 2010s.

I'm going to keep this one for a while.

The 330 is one nice boat but, I'd have to take a look into the 340 also. There are some steals out there on second hand 340's, and they are noticeably larger, especially in the cabin. My local dealer has an 07 340 listed at 149k, seems awfully cheap.

Got a 2009 330DA in July.

V-Drives, Gen, Bow and Stern thrusters, radar, anchor wash, teak flooring, bow pad (with speakers), pop down TV.DVD in forward berth, built in grill, remote spot light, blue hull, under swim platform lighting, central vac.

Dislikes...Winter!

Bill, is your V berth TV only analog? I assume your 26" Salon TV is digital? Correct?

Define "newer".

Saint Max is on the market for a lot less than a "newer" 330DA. We may be able to work a deal as I am looking to step WAY up or step down to a boat I can trailer and put in a heated garage.

John,

Yes it is, so we used it to play DVDs only. We recently added an Intelligan <sp> dish (purchased and and installed by BOE). BOE hooked up the V-Birth tv, but its still not working. Could be cable or connection.

I've already hauled the boat so I won't get a chance to troubleshoot until the spring.

Great boat by the way, you won't regret getting a 330!

As mentioned above, BOE did the installation of our Sat. dish. Thought I'd share a few pictures.

We are actually looking for a 2008 or 2009.

I traded up to a new 2008 330A in August. Incredible boat. Was looking at this and also 2008 340 and decided on the 330 based upon the layout. Even through it is smaller than the 340, the electric V-Berth bed and the access to bow through windshield area were features I felt were superior. Outstanding ride as well. Quality control not very good as there were a lot of bugs (reversed wiring, faulty electronics and some leaks through the bow rail fasteners) but I have a great dealer and they have been right on top of things including replacement of AC unit that seized up when heat was first turned on.

Key is that Sea Ray has stood behind their product and what a product it is!
