I need some help diagnosing a water leak into the cabin of my 2007 310DA.
My boat is permanently moored in a slip at a marina, with forward and aft canvas covers in place. On 3 occasions over a period of 6 months, I have discovered that the carpet in the cabin is damp/wet. The most recent occurrence was during a period of severe storms in our area (Pensacola, Florida) which lasted for several days.

So, I spent a few hours on board during one of these storms and here is what I found: :smt100
(1) I discovered a small stream of water running down the vinyl covered panels on both sides of the forward birth where the mattress pad meets the side panels. This is the space under the side bumper pads, about 6"-8" from the front corner on both sides.
(2) The forward bilge area underneath the AC unit had water standing in it.
(3) The forward birth privacy curtain, which is kept tucked between the microwave and forward closet, was wet.
(4) The carpet in the bottom of the storage compartment between the sofa and the forward birth was wet.
(5) The carpet on the port side step-up to the forward birth was wet.
(6) The carpet on the floor of the cabin was wet.

I have inspected everything topside and do not see anything obvious. I have ruled out the gasket on the nav lights. All railing and cleat penetrations seem to be tight. I have not ruled out the skylights because the caulking material around them actually looks suspicions, but I cannot figure out how to remove the interior trim in the cabin so that I can really see if there is a leak.

Suggestions please!?!?:smt100

Hello, I own a 2006 Searay 270 AJ, and had a comparable problem when the boat was new. After adjusting the tension screws on the windows in the cabin, the problem was eradicated. These are the small screws located in the ceneter of the window lock down tabs. Try this and it may very well cure your problem.

Hi Bill,
Yes I have heard about that situation from a few other owners...and my porthole (side) windows seem to be tight.
The skylights I am suspicious of are the fixed glass ones located on the bow deck which allow light (and water??) into the cabin thru the ceiling.

I'm thinking rub-rail or bow-rail mounting points. I have the same boat so I know exactly the places you refer to being wet.

I had one cabin so far... the port wiper mount was leaking into the galley cabinets.
