This is the back rest for the fold down bench seat. Any ideal how to remove it?

As @Lazy Daze said it is most likely through bolted but not all may be accessible via the hatch because of the well you have back there. You may need to get in behind the shore power connections. If you have a shower at the transom entrance pulling that and looking up would let you get the best view. If not you may have to pull the cup holders on each side.View attachment 154439

To remove the back rest. you have to lay down on the deck and look at the bottom of the pad. You will see screws that hold the back rest in place. Remove the screws and tap the bottom of the back rest with your palm and the back rest will then come off. 5-minute job.View attachment 154439

Well that's much better than the old way! Are the screws through some type of small grommet? I've seen that method used on some fishing boats.To remove the back rest. you have to lay down on the deck and look at the bottom of the pad. You will see screws that hold the back rest in place. Remove the screws and tap the bottom of the back rest with your palm and the back rest will then come off. 5-minute job.

No grommets that I can remember. Screwed into the bottom of the pad. The boat is wrapped for the winter otherwise I would have taken a picture.
