The boat is in perfect condition, with no scratches on it, no damage. I have all the papers and document. The price is $15,000 including the shipping to your address. Currently I am located in Las Vegas,Nevada because I just finished the divorce with my husband and i have moved here to my parents home. For the payment we will use ebay protection program for our safety and for payment i prefer to use a eBay Safety Bank Account.
If you are interested in buying it please provide me your full name and address so I can initiate the deal through eBay.
I will wait your answer(if you are interested to buy) very soon
Thank you

What a SCAM!!! Or maybe she is really upset with her EX!

Big scam and there are a lot of them currently. I have emailed a few and they are all pretty much the same. they get pictures of boats and state where they are located but if you look at the numbers they are not for that state even! I offered to come look at the boats but they want to "ship" them to you. I guess they actually get people once in a while though.

If it's too good to be true, it's too good to be true!

I don't think $15k would even cover the shipping on a 52' boat.

It's not only on ebay. I recently found a really great deal online in the boat trader. After trying to verify the location of the boat and get a survey done the correspondence stopped. I contacted boat trader and they pulled the ad.

You guys are silly. I couldn't pass up a deal like this. Sent her the cheque for $15k (she asked that I certify and I thought that was reasonable) and told her she doesn't need to rush as my water will be solid soon and won't go back to liquid form for about 5 months or so....

***For a quick sale*** scan and post your Bank account, both checking and savings along with a signiture and social security number. I will make a check out for 25,000 and I'll send you the balance back in cash!

I ran an add for my last boat on craigs list and this was some of the retoric my e-mail brought me. Incidently it did sell to a legitimate buyer from criags list!

If they put their energies into a worthy cuase no telling how far they could go!
Mike

I had this same scam run on me when I was selling my last boat. I had my boat posted on Boattrader.com when I noticed that the price of my boat had changed, along with only one digit of my phone number.

I called up Boattrader and they claimed that I must have given my account info to someone else (I hadn't....). My boat wasn't even listed under "my account" - So, I certainly don't have the IT permissions to take my entire ad, and shift it to someone else's account.

So, after wrestling with the IT folks, the ad would be placed back under my account. The next day, the ad would be "hijacked" again, and I would have to spend another 45 minutes on the phone with Boattrader. (their IT support, IT security and web support SUCKS!!!):smt013:smt013:smt013:smt013

I had to do this about five times before my ad was finally left alone!!!!!!

During this time, I sent an e-mail to the bogus "seller" and told her that I was interested. She sent me an address in Las Vegas (the street existed, but the house number did not exist - which would not have obvious through a simple Google Map search). She claimed that her husback had died unexpectedly and she needed to sell the boat quickly. She would ship it anywhere in the country at no cost, just send a deposit to hold the boat.

Boattrader was no help, and allowed this to continue. I have seen the same thing happen on E-Bay, where another seller will capture someone elses pictures and info and submit a fake ad.

E-Bay does not appear to be very proactive about going after these folks either. I reported a "bogus" auction to E-Bay and was basically told that it was not my problem, and unless the buyer or seller contact them, they would not take any action (even though they admitted that the auction appeared very suspect).

So, anytime it is too good to be true......IT IS!!!!

Oh, but I did get an e-mail this morning that someone in Nigeria wants to give me 10% of their $22M inheritance if I agree to be their estate executor. I'll let you know what boat I buy with this money!!!!:smt043

I thought the price was so good, I send her money for 2 of them.

NEVER! NEVER! NEVER! USE WESTERN UNION FOR ANYTHING! THEY HAVE THE WORST CONTROL ON WHERE THE MONEY GOES. DID i SAY NEVER. WESTERN UNION = SCAM 100% OF THE TIME. JG
