We will be closing soon on this boat and the master toilet needs a rebuild. Broker is willing to do it but he can't get anyone to do it for a month or so. This is something I can do and I can get parts from Environmental Marine. Does anyone know the model number of the toilet used in this boat. Trying to round up parts and broker is out of town.

Thanks

Howdy, and welcome to the Cult. You’ll find lots of good folks and info here.

Have you gotten the Owner’s Manuals for your vessel from Sea Ray? Go to their website and look under ‘Owners’. You might be able to get the correct part numbers for your head there.

Yes, Doing the repair myself because the pros are backed up for months...And it's an easy job. Broker sent me pics of the model #'s (5009) and Environmental Marine has all the parts. Broker said there were 2 rebuild kits on board, so might not even need to make a parts run.

On a more serious note, the sewage hoses are original and there is that classic boat aroma. Not that bad but it's there. Has anyone changed out the sewer hoses? The vac generators are all the way in the stern near the holding tank. Toilets are up front. Has to be a 25-30' hose run.

I changed out the sanitation hose on my Regal 3780. It was not fun. I would take other steps prior to doing this to get rid of the smell unless you're convinced it's coming from the hose. Start with a good flush of the holding tank and getting the system working correctly. And get yourself a copy of the book "get rid of boat odors".

Looks like quite a chore. I imaging these hoses were installed prior to installing the upper deck and probably zip tied in various impossible to get to places. I ordered the book. Thanks for the tip.

In 2007-2008 Sea Ray probably had a bad batch of sanitary hoses as every boat we looked at from 42-58 had rotted hoses. For the 44 DA I replaced mine myself, as everything was reasonably easy access. On my 58 the parts that were not accessible the hose ran through PVC pipes so it was possible to feed the hose from one end to the next. On the 58 it was just shy of 100' of hose to replace everything and was 4 days of labor for two people including full rebuild of the vacuum generators.

For the 58 Sea Ray had a replacement procedure. It's possible they have the same for yours.

Just replaced mine - about 30' and a straight run from tank to toilet. Original was past her useful life and started to do a poor job of odor prevention. The new hose has made a huge difference. Interesting side note is that searay used two pieces of hose and joined them with a union about 10' back from the toilet. Not an ideal set-up from the factory and seems totally unnecessary. I figured they wanted to save a few feet of the cheap a&& hose they were using.
