2007 320DA TV Reception

Alex Im abbe to watch the smaller tv while under way. However the video converter box is also requires to be on and is currently plugged in and not wired into a 12V source. Can I grab power feed from the glomex gain control box?

Sounds like the DTV converter box is just like any cable box, which requires 110v. In that case you'll need to have an inverter to be plugged in to 12v and output 110v. I'm doing this for my cockpit TV.
Before investing any money I would test so you can see the proof of concept. Take a small inverter (could be 100w-400w, thiose boxes require very little power, but check on the back of the unit to get exact numbers) and plug it in the 12v outlet by the galley shelf above the sink. If you're happy with results, welcome to a new small project

The Artec converter box uses a 12v adapater to plug into 110v AC. Just cut the adapter off and tap the two wires into your 12v system. There is 12v power at the Glomax gain control. That's what the rest of us have done.

Here's a pic of my power connection. It's tapped into the power feed of the Glomax gain controller. Just 2 saddle clips and then a couple of zip ties to keep it all tidy.
