2007 185 Sport - Stereo wiring harness

Help! I'm in the process of changing out the head unit in my 185 Sport from a Clarion to a Sony. Each unit has a wiring harness that plugs into the head unit with wires about 6 inches long coming out of it. The wires on the existing one plug into another wiring block, and I'm unable to unplug that wiring harness so that I can plug the new wires into it. Naturally there's very little room to see let alone reach, but usually you need to pinch some ends, or pry some clips, but I can't seem to figure out how this one works. Thanks in advance ...

If you lift the seat in the bow in front of the radio, you should be able to reach up and pull the loom forward where it is to reach.
