2006 Sea Ray 270 SD- issue with smart craft readout

I just recently purchased this boat. Had some mechanical issues. So i had the boat hauled out to fix and then decided to paint hull and out drive. Also had the OD serviced and basically complete overhaul, all new parts. Now i have the boat back and I’m getting an alert “Fault trim”. I cant find any info on this in the Smart Craft manual. I’ve adjusted the OD up and down several times and the the trim tabs up and down. Is it possible there is a sensor on the trim tabs that got painted over ? I have no idea what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

The trim tabs are not monitored by Smartcraft.

Most likely it's a flaky trim sender starting to fail or it got gooped up with paint. Take the sender apart and inspect.
