Has anyone changed/added Digital TV yet? I pulled off the "cover" that hides the wires and ductwork for the AC.
Can anyone give an idea on where to plug in or mount the DTV unit?

I did. I unscrewed the panel inside the cabinet above the TV. Inside there you will find an AC outlet to plug in your converter. You can tap into the coax cables on the antenna gain adjuster in there too. I Keep the box in the cabinet with all the wire exposed now and open the door to change the channels by remote. I'm trying to figure out how to route the wires out through the cabinet so I can mount the box on the outside, under the cabinet. It doesnt seem to come apart easy. There are several dead spaces behind there.

I was thinking about adding a shelf under the cabinet above the tv for my sat. box and the DTV converter. Right now I just put the Sat. box behind the tv. I haven't picked up the DTV converter yet.

Have any of you added a DTV antenna? MY dock neighbor did and he gets great reception at the dock or out on the water.

35 satellite quality channels from the stock Glomex antenna.

Thanks JV....How many channels did you get before the DTV?
I only get 1 or 2 very fuzzy channels..not sure if it's worth the trouble of DTV.

I installed a inferred repeater for the converter box so the converter box is completely hidden along with antenna.

I swapped my stock 15 inch TV out for a new Samsung flatscreen and moved the stock one to the aft cabin. No TV input there so I have it hooked up to a PS2 for movies and games only.

I then put my HD satellite receiver in the cabinet above the TV. To get a cable to it and back down to the TV I had to drill a small hole in the panel that the Glomex control knob is on. Works great for having all of my satellite stations at the dock.

I need to run a splitter though so I can use the Glomex on the water. Since I have an HDMI cable from my receiver to the TV I'm not getting any OTA channels.

Oh yeah, my remote on the receiver is RF instead of infared so that makes it nice to not have to open that cabinet to change channels.

Digital is great. I used to get 1 fuzzy channel and now get at least 15 clear channels with the Glomex antenna.:smt038

4-5 fuzzy channels. DTV is amazing.

Hi
I took the crappy Panasonic VCP equipped TV out of my 02 Dancer and mounted a (Sams Club) 23" Vizio ($230). Incredible reception. Looks great. I went from literally 1, sometimes 2 channels to 15+ with that god-awful glomex worthless antenna. Now, what about the little flexible am/fm antenna that shrivels up and shrinks and bends to the side? Oh well, better the antenna does that than . . .
